Ask your agent if your profession qualifies you for certain discounts. Take note of the fact that, like many things in insurance, the discount you’ll be given will depend on your insurance carrier’s weighting of occupation as a factor in calculating a profile’s risk.

There are many dealerships that pay for auto trigger leads.  These leads are when people are actively looking to purchase a vehicle and they have visited a dealership and had their credit checked to see if they qualify to purchase a vehicle.  Dealerships can save a ton on advertising expenses as purchasing these auto leads can help guarantee an increase in sales.  Advertising over the television, internet, radio and by mail won’t be the only form of bringing in sales if dealerships can purchase auto leads because they are targeting people who are already looking to purchase a vehicle.  Getting these leads are becoming more and more common in the auto industry today.

I’ve been driving for 10 years now and have never had an accident. I’m a very good driver and can avoid most accident situations. But even I can’t avoid someone hitting my parked car! I was at the courthouse checking on some property lines for my mom. I had parallel parked in front because I wasn’t going to be in very long. Someone sideswiped me, so I called the police. The damage was pretty bad, so I also called my car insurance company. They sent an adjuster out immediately. So now, my car is in the shop getting fixed and I have a loaner car from the insurance company.

I’m 26 and just now buying a car. I know most people buy one as soon as they get their license, but not me. I grew up in a town with a good bus system so I used that to get back and forth to work and college. But now I’ve gotten a job in a smaller town, one that doesn’t have a bus route so I have to get a car. I have picked out the car, put the down payment on it, and first thing Monday morning I’m going to buy some car insurance. I don’t know who I’m going with yet, but I know I want the lowest rates possible.
