Turbulence training is an extremely important part of training when one is working towards becoming an astronaut. Turbulence training is one of the very first drills that a future astronaut faces, as in simulation course, to determine if he or she will be strong enough to endure take off. Turbulence training is simulated by advanced machinery that jostles the astronaut trainee quite robustly. This also determines whether or not the subject will get “space sick”. (Although not always the case) it is a general rule that those who do not get sea sick will get space sick, and those who do get sea sick will not get space sick.
