A big box arrived in the mail yesterday. Since no one was around, I received the mail and carried it back into the office. The box was heavy and I wasn’t watching where I was going. I suddenly stepped on something and slipped. I fell backward but never loosened my grip on the package for fear that the contents would break. The impact of the fall literally took my breath away. I couldn’t breathe because the box landed on my body and it was cutting may air supply. Fortunately, my colleagues arrived just in time to help me up. The fall was caused by a small piece of crystal that fell from a jeweled bag. It has a smooth surface and it looked like a Whole Bean Coffee. The package turned out to be an order of personalized calendars to be given away to our customers. Next time I ever attempt to carry a big package such as this one, I’ll remember to wait for somebody to turn up and help me carry it.
