The area where we live has had its share of droughts, but also some very heavy rains at times. It would be nice if there was a happy medium, but that isn’t always the case. A couple of years ago we had a professional company install a  water tank to collect the rainfall. By doing this, we were able to collect enough water to use for basic things like laundry and watering our garden, but also to help reduce erosion during some of the torrential rains that sometimes occur around here. It has also helped to reduce storm water runoff, reducing the risk of flooding. A good product all around!
