We made our way to the car rental auckland desk once we finally got through customs and immigration and picked up the keys for the vehicle that was to be our transport for the next two weeks. Because we only have limited time for this trip we are only touring around the north island. We really wanted to try and get to the south island as well but that will have to wait for next time. We are starting our trip in Auckland and making our way south first off, then once we get back up this way we will go up north for a little while.
